My Life Is Like A Stained Glass Window

My Life Is Like A Stained Glass Window

I wonder have you ever taken the time to look through a stained glass window, first through one small intricate piece and then through another, seeing the view through different colors, different light, a new perspective of the same view, yet as you look through each unique piece of glass then take a few steps back, you can see the picture in full, where again you get a whole new perspective of what is or what may be possible when you simply take the time and investigate, allowing your mind to create, imagine, drift and dream of what new awareness you can achieve by simply looking.

When I look at a stained glass window, I see beautiful, intricate, colorful pieces, but not just pieces of glass, pieces of me. Each part representing a different part of me, each piece unique in itself, holding a different piece of knowledge, or a pleasant memory to remember as I move from one small piece to the next, looking, gazing, mesmerized by the changing colors, becoming aware of the shift in emotions as I examine each unique piece, and when the light reflects in different ways, it just seems to move inside me changing the way I see and feel things.

When I finally take a few steps back, each intricate part becomes a magnificent picture in whole. All blending together, the knowledge, the memories, the hopes and dreams of what can and will be, knowing that all these parts belong to me, and I can utilize each and every one of them at my leisure. Perhaps using just one piece at a specific time, or maybe a few at other times, yet as a whole, everything comes together in a way that amazes me to the point of being in awe of how certain things just happen naturally and accepting the beauty of what a person can allow to flow through them, whether you decide to use individual parts, or blending them all together as a whole new world can be seen through a stained glass window.
