Desolate Creature
I sometimes wonder,
And always dream,
That one will touch,
The soul it seems,
Of this alone,
In heart and mind,
Another soul,
That one can find,
A desolate creature,
So it be,
Is it possible,
For one to see?
To have the strength,
To reach inside,
Take my soul,
Let not it hide,
Away from pain,
And truth be far,
Open the mind,
To find which star,
She put her heart,
And stored it tight,
Locked and caged,
For one that’s right,
To have the key,
The wisdom to know,
The twisted lock,
Open and show,
There is a way,
This creature be,
Through and through,
Desolation free.
Will the one,
Know patience through,
In order to open,
One lock not few
Remains so tightly
Chained and bound,
Hurts and pains,
Buried without sound.
To plead and beg,
Your soul to mine,
Can you feel the sadness,
Can you make it shine?
Perhaps a yes,
Or endless no,
A thousand words,
In pictures show,
Look carefully now,
And find the star,
The one that holds,
This soul so far.
